I would like to thank the following staff members for their contribution to a successful afternoon.

With your help we were able to raise just over $2500!

Thank you to Mr Binello for removing most of the weeds from the gardens and to Mr Lionel Mills for taking all of the garden rubbish to the dump, so we could start “Plant It Day”. Violets and Lace kindly donated 19 punnets of vegetables and flowers to be planted around our school. Mrs Evans and Mrs Mills joined us at “Plant It day” and assisted with the tidying of and planting of new gardens.

What a beautiful monument! I would like to thank the staff, students and families, community members, and officials who attended our school ceremony. To the families of the service men on our new monument, thank you for taking the time to represent each of these honoured men. I believe the children did a terrific job at keeping the ceremony flowing throughout the afternoon. Thank you to Mr Wakeham for his speech. I would especially like to give a very big thank you to Dave McCarthy for honouring a promise to help me get the grant and complete this monument before ANZAC day 2008.

Next year we hope that our garden will grow with other community members adding plaques representing family members who have since died but contributed to the War efforts of the past. By next year we also hope to have a painting, depicting the service men and women, completed by Mr Jim Nash.
